CRPS Library About the Library The Council Rock Primary School Library is a resource for students, teachers and parents. Our library is staffed at all times, which means that students may come to the library for research or book selection at any time during the school day. The Council Rock Library uses an on-line catalog and houses over twelve thousand volumes to support the reading needs and curriculum for kindergarten through second grades. Staff Maryanne Beiter, Librarian Jennifer Caccavale, Library Assistant Phone 242-5176 Library Classes The Librarian teaches all students in grades K-2, for thirty minutes each cycle.The library curriculum focuses on literature appreciation and information seeking skills. Hours The Council Rock Primary Library is open for students from 8:20 AM until 2:30 PM. Students are free to use the library at anytime throughout the school day with their teacher’s permission for browsing, book checkout and return, as well as research. Loan Policy The books are checked out for one cycle, however if a child wishes to keep a book longer he or she may renew it. Books become overdue after three weeks. We do not charge for overdue books. Overdue notices are issued on a weekly basis. Bills are sent home for lost or damaged books. Volunteers We enjoy having parents volunteer in the library. They are helpful shelving books and preparing books for circulation. Parents may also help children with book selection. CRPS Library Catalog
