Description

Student Review Windows 

Follow up actions (i.e. schedule shifts, letters to parents)

CRPS 

  • Meetings held with the instructional team 2 times throughout the year with 6 week check ins after each major review. Discussing all areas of need and growth. 
  • Mid-October 
  • Beginning of March 
  • Increase or decrease in service. 

  • Notice goes home to families if their child was entered into/ exited from AIS. Teachers and providers also communicate increase or decrease in service. 

  • Possible referral to BST

FRES 

  • Meetings held with classroom teacher, support staff, mental health staff, and admin to discuss every individual students’ academic, social/emotional and behavioral needs. 
  • Late October/early November 
  • First week in March with middle school admin present for the 5 go 6 transition conversations 
  • Intervention shifts 
  • Schedule shifts 
  • Provider shifts 
  • Letters to parents 
  • Addition/Exit to AIS supports 
  • Addition/exits to mental health supports 
  • Beginning of BST process 

TCMS 

  • Meetings held with members of BST (principal, school counselor, school psychologist, reading specialist, math specialist, and classroom teacher) to discuss concerns about individual students’ academic, social/emotional and behavioral needs. 
  • Weekly at Brighton Support Team meetings 
  • Week 8 of each marking period 

  • Continue/ramp up interventions 
  • Parent/home communication 
  • Add/Exit AIS 
  • Add/remove mental health supports 
  • Data review and tracking of interventions 
  • Identify appropriate WIN supports 
  • Students and guardians notified of schedule/AIS changes and referrals 
  • Brighton Support Center referral 
  • Referral to CSE 

BHS 

  • BST (Brighton Support Team)  
  • Bi-weekly meetings.  Teacher, admin, or counseling recommend student for review 

 

  • Bi-weekly and then BSC collects feedback from all teachers regarding progress (academic, attendance, behavior, work completion etc.) 
  • Bi-weekly at BST 
  • *Guardian is contacted regarding schedule changes and added support 
  • May result in any of the following: monitor progress, schedule changes, implement academic/behavior plan, add Help Rooms, BSC referral, referral for testing (revisit and collect data from teachers after 2 weeks of implementing strategies/changes) 
  • Bi-weekly at BST (ongoing throughout the year)
