Posted Date: 03/16/26 (04:05 PM)

Orchestras from French Road Elementary School, Twelve Corners Middle School, and Brighton High School filled up the BHS gym for the annual District-Wide Strings Concert in February.

The orchestras combined to play “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star” and “Ode to Joy Festival.” The French Road Elementary School Orchestra, led by Mrs. Lori Isham, performed “Royal March of the Lion” and “Dragon Pearl.” The Sixth Grade Orchestra, led by Ms. Jenny Muhl, performed “The Journey Forward” and “Deep Sea Fandango.” The Seventh and Eighth Grade Combined Orchestra, led by Mr. Matthew Glende, performed “Music from ‘Wicked’” and “Blue Sky Horizon.” The Brighton High School String Orchestra, led by Dr. Rachel Lauber, performed “Divertimento in D Major K. 136.” The BHS Symphonic Orchestras, led by Dr. Lauber, performed “The Thunderer” (conducted by Benjamin Watson) and “Gravitas.”

Congratulations to all our string families who help build community district wide — especially those families representing multiple schools. We look forward to welcoming more siblings to our family in future years!
