Brighton Central School District recognized Brighton Town Supervisor Bill Moehle as an ACT for Education Community Champion for Public Education on May 8.
 
Moehle has been an unwavering champion for the District, consistently demonstrating his dedication to K-12 student success through both visible presence and meaningful action. As Town Supervisor, he goes beyond ceremonial involvement — he actively engages with students across grade levels through Read Across America Day at French Road Elementary School, presentations to high school students about government and civic leadership, and attendance at school assemblies and community events like the Homecoming parade.
 
Beyond these direct interactions, Moehle serves as a powerful role model, showing students that community leaders are invested in their futures. He involves staff and students in town initiatives, fostering a culture of civic engagement. Moehle’s consistent advocacy for public education — both in word and action — demonstrates his understanding that schools are essential to a thriving community.
