Findings and Interpretation
The successful implementation of the District’s distraction-free schools policy was supported by clear communication and consistent implementation from the outset. During the 2025–2026 school year, the District documented 874 infractions across all schools. The internet enabled device policy was administered equitably and fairly with clear and consistent responses and interventions. Progressive disciplinary action was used in cases of repeated infractions. The District identified no significant enforcement disparities and will continue to monitor implementation, review non-identifiable demographic data and examine enforcement practices to ensure that the policy remains consistent, equitable and effective.
