Second-grade students in Mrs. Porta’s class received a special presentation from Max Frohman, president of the Rochester Institute of Technology Beekeeping Club. The presentation tied into the class’s science lessons, where they learned about the importance of pollinators and the structures bees use to move pollen around. Students tasted six different types of honey, tried on safety equipment, and handled the tools beekeepers use.
