Annual Notice: Districtwide Safety Plan for 2026-27

Please note that the information below is an annual requirement. The Districtwide Safety Plan is a general plan filed each year by the district that outlines the district’s response to emergencies.

Pursuant to NYSED Commissioner’s Regulation 155.17 (e) (3), the Brighton Central School District is making the districtwide safety plan available for public comment prior to its adoption. A public hearing will be held on Wednesday, August 26, 2026 at 9 a.m. as part of the Board of Education – Goal Setting meeting.

The public hearing will provide for the participation of school personnel, parents, students, and any other interested party who wish to comment on the districtwide plan. The plan is expected to be formally adopted by the Board of Education at the Business portion of the meeting on Wednesday, August 26.

Individuals may submit comments directly to the District Clerk, Kim Lanzafame, 2035 Monroe Ave., Rochester, NY 14618, or Kim_Lanzafame@bcsd.org no later than Wednesday, August 19 at 3 p.m.
